THORNSTORN-BIMA KIJANI is therefore looking for qualified individuals from any DISTRICT in Tanzania to fill the following position:
Field agri-insurance assessors
Overview: This role is to support loss assessment and provision of crop data to client insured under various cover such as , Named Peril Crop insurance, Malt peril crop insurance, ( MPCI), Area Yield Index insurance (AYII), Weather Index Insurance(WII), Index –Based Livestock Normalised different in Vegetation Cover Index ( NDVI). Soil Moisture index insurance (SMI), Forestry insurance ( for plantations). This Job an applicant need to be based where he currently live.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct crop survey such as crop cut survey ( CCEs), full profile , and or farmer recall ect using our agriculture insurance digital application-3app
- To inspects field where claim has been made using reading maps and aerial photos- traditional products
- Complete field inspections after loss is reported - use reading maps and aerial photos
- Perform fact finding regarding crop damage, records information and transmit loss information to accurately determine potential indemnities
- Facilitate crop yield data ground truthing and or estimation using our internal tools
- Utilize company software and digital application to electronically transmit claims information directly from the field to corporate office to ensure claims are processed timely and accurately
- Any other duty required by our clients
Qualification
Field agri- insurance assessors –Interns
Overview: This is temporary role where you will be trained to support field data staff at district. You will be trained into different roles and supervised by your District officer. This Job is remote an applicant need to be based anywhere where he currently live.
Responsibilities :
- As an intern you will support field insurance assessors for field data collection such as crop survey (crop cut survey)
- You will support field insurance assessors for Complete field inspections after loss is reported - use reading maps and aerial photos
- You will support field insurance assessors for Measure fields and discuss findings of crop loss with farmers
- You will support field insurance assessors for Perform fact finding regarding crop damage, records information and transmit loss information to accurately determine potential indemnities.
